DC GlamourPlus is a modeling group for aspiring plus size models in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We help aspiring models to develop the basic skills needed to help jump start their modeling interest- at the same time, continuing to build their self esteem and self confidence. Our overall goal is to promote plus size beauty and inspire all women to love themselves in their own skin; in addition develop and enhance modeling abilities/opportunities for aspiring plus size models.

WHAT WE DO:

Portfolio Building

Monthly photo shoots to help build your skills behind the camera (posing, facial expressions & overall body language), while building your modeling portfolio.

Model Coaching

Tips and advice for posing and other modeling techniques

Model/Casting Calls

Shared info to local model calls and casting calls. Don’t fear going some place new- alone. Most often a fellow GP model will be there to help you feel at ease.

Runway Instruction

Runway instruction- learn to walk, pose and turn on the runway.

Fashion Show Planning

Plan and participate in a DC GlamourPlus fashion show! Get hands-on experience with model scouting, auditions/judging, choreography, event planning, etc.

Fashion Events/Networking

Attend local fashion and networking events to meet industry professionals and represent DC GlamourPlus as a group!

Online Exposure

Models will be featured on the MODELS page on the DC GlamourPlus’ site- which will be updated monthly, with images from our shoots. 

Workshops and Training

Attend workshops, model boot camps and other programs available to enhance your skills.
